With the overwhelming onslaught of AI dominating academic fields, it is understandable that people assume it to be a definitive source of knowledge. But what some people fail to appreciate is that AI is a predictive content generator. It calculates what looks right based on information that exists somewhere else. If the answer is not already out there, it is not going to generate a new one. And if the answers it consolidates are based upon common misconceptions or folklore, it is not going to provide an alternative point of view.
Practical advice

In fact, the main reason I wrote the book was to dispel the misinformation that is routinely shared on the internet surrounding police powers. The book is written from a practical viewpoint, not a theoretical one. Its purpose is not to provide the generic answers you see on solicitor websites, but to give you a full breakdown of the steps you should take when the police and the authorities refuse to abide by the law. Steps you can take yourself without having to employ the services of lawyers. It is not information that can be readily accessed via AI.

Where AI is an invaluable tool is when it comes to preparing the necessary responses and legal notices required when holding the authorities to account. For too long, the general public have been easily dissuaded from making a stand because of the time, energy, and acumen necessary to compile these challenges. AI has removed that obstacle, and more and more people are bringing their own civil actions and legal challenges against authorities who, for a long time, have relied upon the public giving up. This is excellent news for us, the public, and bad news for public officials.
Unfortunately, due to its conversational manner, AI has a tendency to overcomplicate matters, and will often push enquirers in vague directions, branching off into needless tangents or taking the wrong approach altogether.
